Snow Report for the t-Mobile Google Phone

Got GooglePhone?

Check out the Fresh Powder Report's one and only snow report application for the t-Mobile G1 Google Phone! Download it today from the Android MarketPlace!

FreshPowderReports.com's free new service takes the same information found on traditional snow report web sites but adds some unique features specific for the t-Mobile Google phone. Skiers and snow boarders can check current snow conditions including new snow and base, check traffic alerts and weather reports, retrieve maps and directions to resorts and access resort web sites directly from their phone. FreshPowderReport.com also offers a more traditional web site version of the reports as well that provides other services that will soon expand to resort events, product reviews and other information.

Paul Garcia, a Bay Area skier who tested the service explains why the FreshPowderReport.com Google Phone application is so innovative "I was driving up to Tahoe last year and got stuck in traffic because of an accident. I thought to myself, this sucks. It's too hard to dial a number to check the traffic from a generic traffic report. Why can't I be notified when there's something going on that impacts me? "

FreshPowderReport.com partnered with Red Droid Software to develop the web site, the iPhone and Google phone applications.

"We're very excited about the Google phone version of FreshPowderReport.com. The capabilities of the Google Android platform enables us to add a lot of great features like the ability to save reports to a personal list and information about the resorts. Future versions of the application will feature Commerce features like lift ticket purchase by phone.", said Wayne McFadden, president of Red Droid Software.
